10 Most Common Gujarati Words

Have you ever been to a different country that speaks the same language as you, but you can’t understand what they are saying?

Or have you learned a new language, but talked to a local and didn’t understand as much as you hoped you would?

It can be so frustrating to think you are going to understand something more than you actually end up understanding. You’re probably wondering, where’s the disconnect?

This might be for 2 reasons:

  1. Some of this might have to do with the accent of the locals: for example, in West Virginia, they say the English word “hollow” as “holler”, and if you just hear them say it verbally, you wont have a clue what they're talking about.

  2. OR the people have common slang that you didn’t learn in your Duo Lingo or Rosetta Stone app.
