  • FAQ | sanskarteaching

FAQ's ABOUT SANSKAR TEACHING ZOOM SCHOOL Vashaili talks through some of the frequently asked questions about our live classes. What's the earliest age a child can join our live classes? 3 years old. Our Preschool curriculum is tailored for ages 3-5. Are all the teachers native speakers? YES! Is there a sibling discount? Yes, please reach out to us for a discount code. How long is your curriculum? Our curriculum is split up into levels, each level is 4 sessions long (about one year), each session being 9+ weeks. You'll never repeat learning material. What kind of homework do students get? This wholly depends on the level/age group you are in. Preschool children get simple activities to promote learning, but no homework. Some student's homework is to call a classmate to practice the language. If I speak and understand Gujarati, which level should I take? It depends on your goal. If you are trying to learn proper language, Adult Level 1 is great. Adult Level 2 classes work on the grammar, like pronouns. If you already know all that, we have a reading and writing class for exceptionally fluent people. How long are the classes? Preschool and Level 1: 30 minutes Level 2 and up: 60 minutes Do I need to know a certain amount of the language before I start? If you are entering a Level 1 class, no. If at any point you are feeling overwhelmed and behind, talk to your teacher and they are very accommodating . What if I miss a class? We always record our classes, so you can always go back and watch to make up, or review. What is the difference between our Digital Essentials Course and the Live Course? The Live Classes you get to practice and work one on one with a teacher. The Digital Course is something you can do on your own, and is a great supplemental support to learning. How do adults participate in group classes? Have a question that wasn't answered here? Ask away! Submit We'll answer your question as soon as we can! Much different than the kids classes. For example, we break up students into break out rooms with a scenario where they create a conversation to then present to the class. We also use a group chat outside of class to talk about cultural experiences to learn.
